A Message From Our Founder

I’m Kenneth Clay — an Army and Air Force veteran, and the founder of S4VE.

After leaving the military, I struggled with the transition back into civilian life. Like many veterans, I carried the weight of PTSD, loss of structure, and a deep sense of isolation. What ultimately helped me find my way forward was creativity — having a space to express myself, to belong, and to be seen.

Through an opportunity to work in film and production, I rediscovered purpose and healing. That experience showed me how powerful creative expression can be, not just as entertainment, but as therapy, community, and connection.

S4VE was created to offer that same space to other veterans — especially Black artists who have served — who may be searching for meaning, support, and a place to rebuild. Here, veterans are encouraged to create, collaborate, and heal together through art, wellness, and shared experience.

This organization is deeply personal to me. It exists because I know firsthand how life-changing it can be when someone believes in you and provides a space to grow. My hope is that S4VE becomes a home where no veteran feels alone in their journey forward.

Thank you for being here and for supporting our mission.
